Ski area Alpe d`Huez
The ski resort of Alpe d’Huez has 245 km. of slopes and is perfect for beginners and the experienced skiers. The highest point is the Pic Blanc, 3300 m. There is also a glacier that provides the necessary snow. On the top of the Pic Blanc the track La Sarenne starts with a length of 16 km. This is the longest continuous black descent in the world. The cracks can also enjoy the steep walls that can be found at the front and back of the Pic Blanc. The more novice skier can benefit the easy slopes immediately above Alpe d’Huez. For snowboarders, there is an extensive snowboard park with a boarder cross, big jump, half pipe and a ramp. There are also 40 km. cross country runs, which are situated at an altitude of 2,200 m. and are open late in the season.
The area is very accessible using various efficient skilifts. From Oz en Oisans it takes only 12 minutes to get to Alpe d’Huez and Vaujany and from there you can go all directions. Many slopes of Alpe d’Huez are on the south, sunlovers will enjoy.

The ski area of Alpe d’Huez is situated 40 km. east of Grenoble and 10 km. from the valley of Bourg d’Oisans. Alpe d’Huez, Oz en Oisans and Vaujany are some villages that are directly linked to Alpe d’Huez ski resort. Other ski resorts in the area are , Les 2 Alpes, La Grave and Serre Chevalier. With your Alpe d’Huez ski pass you can ski two days for free in Les 2 Alpes and 1 day in Serre Chevalier. La Grave is a true off-piste skiing paradise. There is only one skilift, but that will take you to great heights and then you take you own line down. It is recommended to take a mountain guide the first time you go.

Oz en Oisans is a quiet mountain village that has developed very strongly over the last 10 years. The residences and chalets are mainly built in chalet style, spacious, attractive and mostly with wood and natural materials. The center is traffic free and has a number of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a ballroom and a ice skating rink. There are two ski lifts that connect Oz en Oisans to the skiarea. In no time you are right in the middle of the ski area .
